For part of the logo for Body & Sol I have chosen the drawing, the Vitruvian Man by the Renaissance genius, Leonardo da Vinci, representing the Universal Man in a generic sense, perfectly mathematically proportioned.
The logo background is a reworking of an actual photograph of the highly charged electromagnetic energy fields on the surface of the Sun during an active stage. These solar storms or flares reach the Earth in the form of radiation which affects terrestrial life in general, telecommunications systems, electrical grids, as well as long term climate patterns. Solar activity varies with what are called Sunspot Cycles, lasting about 11 years on average. We began a new cycle in March 2006, and solar activity is minimal except for an occasional storm.

The page background is a reworked image of the entire surface of the Sun showing several groups of Sunspots.
